Therapy is self-care
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and have experience working with adolescents, college students, adults, and families in both community mental health and private practice settings. I feel comfortable saying that most people can benefit from therapy whether they are experiencing difficulties or transitions. If a person has never seen a therapist, I certainly understand that taking the first step can be a little frightening. My goal as a therapist is to relieve that fear and help clients discover that investing in themselves can be rewarding. I am passionate about empowering clients to make their desired change and support them on their personal journey.
I believe every client is unique which means my therapy style is eclectic. There's no “one size fits all” therapy; if one approach isn’t helping, then I’m committed to finding the one that will. My main therapeutic modalities are cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused (strength based), person-centered, and EMDR approaches.
